Is there value in investing early in XFL?

With the NFL season over, Football fans and those who like to wager on games, may be feeling like it’s going to be a long off-season. However, with the XFL making a comeback, there’s an investment opportunity to fill the void. With the season kick off on February 8th you have the opportunity to develop a strategy and The ScoreMetrics labs has the information you need to make wise investments.

Some may be hesitant remembering Vince McMahon’s less than successful attempt to create an additional American professional football league. There was a strong entertainment value, but interest did not sustain as the quality of play did not improve after the first few games.

The second go-around is going to be wildly popular with sports bettors, but as the league enters the betting community it will take some time to find its legs. This is definitely an investment to take advantage of early-on as the XFL’s lines will be softer as bookmakers take some time to sharpen the numbers. As always you can count on The ScoreMetrics Lab to give you a window of opportunity that makes for a solid investment. There is a clear edge in investing in the 2020 season.

The XFL is made up of eight teams and the top two teams from each conference will face each other April 18 & 19 to determine the East and West winners. The XFL Championship is set for April 26 and we have the early Championship odds for you:

There are some quirky and new rules within the XFL. These are important to recognize when making your investment decision.  With such concepts such as three-point conversions after touchdowns and no PAT kicks, a one-foot-in-bounds catch rule, a shootout-style overtime, and tweaks in runtime to ensue shorter game durations, the XFL rules are clearly geared towards excitement and high scoring.

This means that over bets and favorites may see an uptick in betting action compared to their NFL counterparts, as the point-after system is likely to lead to greater variations in final score and the offensive oriented rules suggest higher combined totals.

Vince McMahon and the WWE don’t exactly have stellar reputations however there are several reputable sites that you can make your XFL investment. FanDuel, Bovada and Intertops are just a few of the plethora of betting sites for XFL. With the league focused on integrity this time, we expect higher investment opportunities.
